So I'm not sure if it's okay to post this here, but if not let me know and I'll take it down as soon as I can. I've signed up for the spn_30snapshots challenge on LiveJournal, which involves writing 30 short fics from prompts using characters that you decide on in advance. So I decided to do a pre-series set of short fics in which Eliot meets Dean Winchester when they are in their teens.

So far I've written/posted the first five stories and thought I'd share the links with people here, in case anyone was interested ...

1: S'mores "The boys were laughing and Jim could hear them from where he stood inside the kitchen. It was a good sound."

2. The Smell of Friendship "When Eliot had first arrived, he’d been withdrawn, quiet almost to the point of insolence although he’d followed every instruction he’d been given"

3: First Meetings "Dean and Sammy stood alongside Pastor Jim after the Sunday morning service, itching to get back to the Pastor’s house and change into their usual clothes, but right now they had to wait until all the congregation had spoken to the Pastor and gone home."

4: Quiet Moments "Dean was sitting with his feet dangling into the water, almost on the verge of falling asleep."

5: Walking Home "Jordan was with them, which was why the Pastor had said it was okay for them to walk Eliot home."

This is set at the same time as You Still Do That To Me but from Eliot's POV.
Disclaimer: If I actually owned Leverage or the characters, I really wouldn't have to write fic about them, would I? I'm also not making any money with this - even though it'd be cool if I were able to.

Leverage is going on hiatus after this week, but we can keep the love alive until new episodes air. Nothing says love like kisses, so I bring you the_kissing_job to help share that love.

The Kissing Job is a new community for Leverage fandom. Modeled after McSmooch on Livejournal, there will be festivals of kissing announced periodically so we can all get a little Leverage love when we need it most.

Join now, and don't miss the announcement for the first festival of kissing, which will be very soon. Fic, art or graphics for all Leverage characters are welcome, as long as they feature kissing in some way. Check out the complete rules here and get ready to play!

Some of you may be familiar with the LJ SGA community mcsmooch . It's function is simple, periodically there are festivals of kissing announced. Fanworks are posted, fic, art, picspam, all around the theme of kissing.

Now, we are about to have to suffer for a while without and new episodes of Leverage, so should we console ourselves with a similar community here on Dreamwidth?

If there's interest, I'll do the leg work and make the community and start the first fest soon after tomorrow's episode.

What I would keep from the SGA community is the easy-going feel, no minimum word count, nothing to commit to, just come and share some kisses with the community. I would also restrict the community to new works only and all work must be posted to the community. I would make some kind of arrangement similar to what kink_bingo did so that non-Dreamwidth account holders could participate. Also I have, and I'm sure some of you have, invite codes going spare.

What I would change is the pairing-specific nature of the community. Leverage fandom is more about spreading the love around to everyone, I think. So all kisses would be welcome, Gen, Het, Multi, Slash, RPF, Angsty, Happy, Silly, whatever you want, as long as they feature Leverage characters.

So what do you think? Do you need some Leverage kissing in your life? Do you want to come out and play?

Not very many people need to say, do it, for me to go ahead--oh and if anyone has a good idea for a comm name, don't be shy about offering it up.

ETA: this pretty much has to be called The Kissing Job, right?
