Lately I keep seeing discussions about wishing there were more, well, discussions, and conversations going on about the shows we love. Having arrived late to this particular fandom, there's plenty of fic, but I love some meta and unless I stumble across it by chance on Tumblr I don't really know where to find it these days? Are there collective show re-watches out there?

In an attempt to be the change I wish to see in the fandom, I've been compiling a recs list of Leverage fic I've enjoyed lately. And also a request to engage! Tell me about the excellent fics you've read lately, or the crunchy meta that made you re-evaluate a character! (Please?!)

First up:
Get-Away Driver by mayachain - Post "The Bank Shot Job", three thoughts are prevalent in Ellen Clark's mind.
- An Episode Tag to The Bank-Shot Job, one of a series of lovely little (mostly gen) episode tags looking at 'what happened next' to minor characters after the crew left town.

the soul of the matter by SafelyCapricious - Everyone is born with a way to find their soulmate, but fate is rarely so simple or so kind.
- If you're me, then you'll find there's a sad shortage of soulmate fic in Leverage fandom, so I get excited whenever I find some!

Freedom's Just Another Word (For Nothing Left to Lose) by Telaryn - The fated first meeting of Tara Cole and Sophie Devereaux didn't take place in some exotic nightclub in a far off country.

And The Grifter's Lament by ladybug218 - The lament of the grifter.... who really knows us.

- Two very different takes on how Sophie & Tara met.

It's not blood, it's cherries by lynne_monstr - Eliot goes to deal with an enemy only to find out it's already been taken care of.
- One of the tags on this story is 'Quinn's idea of flirting is to kill Eliot's enemies' and honestly, you probably already know if that's a concept that appeals to you or not.

Crew by Poetry - Parker is too small to take a rider. But she has something better. She has a crew.
- A short but sweet fusion with the Temeraire books, in which Parker is a dragon.

And finally, an old favourite, that I first read back when I'd seen about three episodes of the show ever and didn't know if I even liked Eliot yet, but that I've read countless times over the years. strange, how we are changed by thingswithwings - Eliot watches, fascinated, as Hardison brings the joint to his lips and inhales, making the lit end burn bright and cherry-red for several long seconds.
- A nice little character piece between Parker, Alec & Eliot, about trust, friendship and the slip/slide towards something else entirely.

I'm co-modding the Leverage pimping panel this weekend at bitchin' party (aka Pacificon), and would love any recs you can give me -- fic, vids, manips, etc. I have the few that grabbed me but as I've been head-deep in writing Sentinel the last month, I'm not as hip as I probably should be.

I read everything (gen, het, slash, femslash and all flavors inbetween), so bring it on!

ETA: Any and all variations of fic and vid flavors taken.
